Assignment 1

One of the first things you need to figure out when shooting with a new camera is how the focus works. Try taking pictures of people jumping. Remember the 5 second rule we talked about in class when setting up your shots.

Assignment:
  1. Select a subject and take at least 10 different photographs of people with their feet just off the ground.
  2. Always think safety, first. The best shots are where the feet look like they are just levitating.Consider the angle of the picture and try taking shots from above or even low to the ground.
  3. Select 10 of the best images from your shoot to upload to your Google Picasa. Be sure to make your folder view-able by those in the NORTH THURSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS so we can see it!
  4. In a Gmail, please cut and paste the URL Web address where I can find your photograph. Gmail link to kreece@stu.nthurston.k12.wa.us 
  5. Be sure it is a new photograph taken for this class. NEVER use a photo you have taken before class started or a photo you have taken off the Internet.
  6. Finally, select the image you feel is the strongest and explain why in a sentence in your caption or in your description.
  7. As soon as you have finished this assignment, comment on each set others have posted. ‘Like’ their best image for each fellow photographer.
